Emergency Dental Care: What to Do When the Unexpected Happens

03 January 2026

A dental emergency rarely happens at a "convenient" time. Whether it’s a knocked-out tooth during a weekend sports game or a sudden, throbbing ache in the middle of a work week, knowing what to do can save your tooth.

Common Emergencies and Immediate Steps

  • Knocked-Out Tooth: Keep the tooth moist (in milk or saliva) and get to our office as soon as possible. Time is of the essence!
  • Cracked or Broken Tooth: Rinse with warm water and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling.
  • Severe Toothache: Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gum; call us immediately to identify the source of the infection.

Our Commitment to Your Urgency

At Pacha & Bijan Dental, we understand that emergencies require swift action. As we mention in our office operations, if you are delayed or have an urgent need, please call us as soon as possible. We strive to accommodate our Maitland neighbors when they need us most, ensuring that a dental crisis doesn't turn into a long-term problem.
